Who publishes this site
These pages are published by Rio Dorado Casino Resort, the company that operates the hotel, the Salón Trueno casino floor, the two kitchens and the La Pista dance hall described on them. We are the controller of any personal data handled through the site. Questions, requests and complaints all go to [email protected], marked for the data contact.
What this site is not
There is no booking engine here, no guest account, no payment page and no gambling. You cannot create a profile, and we cannot take your money through this website even if you want us to. Room enquiries are handled by ordinary email, and everything to do with a stay or with the casino floor happens on the premises.
So the honest version of this policy is short: read the site and you give us almost nothing. The rest of this page explains the exceptions.
What is actually collected
- Nothing identifying, if you only read. No account, no form, no tracking of you across other websites.
- Two entries in your browser's local storage. One records that you answered the age question (
rd_age_pass), the other records your cookie choice (rd_consent). Both live on your own device, we cannot read them from ours, and clearing site data removes them. - Server log lines. Our host records the request: IP address, date and time, the page asked for, the referring page and the browser string. These exist to keep the site up and to spot abuse.
- Whatever is in an email you send us. Your address, your name if you sign it, your dates and anything else you choose to write, including a request for a limit or a self-exclusion.
- Measurement data, only if you consent. See the next section.
Analytics and advertising
We advertise this resort through Google Ads and we would like to know which advertisements bring people here. That needs Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement, so both are loaded only after you press Accept all on the cookie bar. Until then, Google Consent Mode holds analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising personalisation and advertising user data in the denied state, which is set in the page head before anything else runs.
If you choose Essential only, nothing is loaded. The site works identically; we simply learn less. You can change the answer at any time with the Cookie settings button in the footer of every page.
The legal basis for each of those
- Consent covers analytics and advertising measurement. You give it in one click and take it back in one.
- Legitimate interests for server logs and basic security: keeping a public website available and defending it against attack.
- Legitimate interests, and the steps before a contract, for answering the email you sent us about a room, a table or an event.
- A legal duty applies where the law makes us keep the record, a self-exclusion agreement signed at the cage being the clearest example.
How long it is kept
- Local storage entries: until you clear them, or until your browser does.
- Server logs: a short rolling window at our host, then overwritten.
- Email correspondence: while your enquiry is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can pick up a conversation about a past stay.
- Analytics data: for the retention period set in the Google Analytics property, after which Google deletes it.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider, which stores the files and writes the logs. Google, as processor for Analytics and Ads, and only once you have consented. Our email provider, which carries messages between you and reception. Nobody buys this data from us, because we do not sell it, and we do not pass it to any other casino, hotel group or advertising network.
Transfers
Google may process measurement data outside the country you are reading this in, under the transfer safeguards published in its own terms. If you would rather that did not happen, choose Essential only and it will not.
Your rights
Local law may give you the right to see a copy of anything we hold on you, to have it corrected or wiped, to pause a particular use of it, to object where we rely on legitimate interests, and to take back a consent at any point. Send the request to [email protected]; a month is our outside limit for replying. If the reply is unsatisfactory, your national data protection regulator will hear the complaint.
Children
These pages advertise a resort built around a casino floor, and they are written for adults of 18 and over. Nothing is knowingly gathered from anyone below that age. Tell us if a child has sent something in and it will be deleted the same day.
Changes
When this policy changes we replace the page and move the review date at the top of it. Material changes to how consent works will also show up as a fresh cookie bar.
